The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Manager, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Location: Watertown, MA
Shift: Mon – Fri, 7:30 am - 4 pm
Wage Range: $25 - 27 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $1000, pays out after 30 days employment.

What we’re looking for:
High school diploma required; Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Logistics/ Science/ is desirable (or equivalent work experience) is required.
1-3 years applicable experience required.
CDL A, B, or C license with a Hazmat Endorsement required.
Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screen required.
Preferred experience in using material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, carts).
Approved DOT physical certification required.
Proven time management, forecasting knowledge, and/or expediting experience.
Strong problem-solving & analytical skills.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills; display a professional can-do attitude.
High regard for safety, quality, and site/customer protocols, policies, and procedures.
Self-motivated, flexible demeanor, and have the confidence to act independently.
Must be able to safely lift 50lbs minimum.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.
In this role you will:
Manage inventory on and off site.
Transport and delivers goods in accordance with the schedule as determined by the customer.
Ensure good customer relations by consistently delivering orders on time and acting in a deferential and professional manner.
Unload or assist in unloading and loading packages/materials needed.
Verify receipts to ensure damage free products are introduced into our system, discrepancies are properly documented, and accurate records are maintained.
Complete packaging and ship material following the regulatory requirements and transportation guidelines.
Accurately secures loads and ensures loads are within weight limits.
Placarding vehicle as required.
Daily vehicle inspection.
Place all incoming and outgoing materials in appropriates staging and storage locations.
Preserve the quality and integrity of materials while loading and unloading activities occur. Ensure receiving and storage areas are safe, clean, and presentable always.
Perform desktop deliveries.
Operate the delivery truck safely.
Ensure vehicle logs and driving records are present and up to date. Report any vehicle problems and defects to management.
Align with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and other standards and regulations.
