We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the management and implementation of projects across Affordable Housing and Property Services. This job sits within the Business Change and Transformation Team in the Affordable Housing Directorate. Affordable Housing provides a range of affordable homes and support services in England and Scotland, delivering services at a competitive cost to meet the needs of our customers. This includes general needs housing, supported housing, shared ownership, housing for older people and home ownership accommodation. It also provides housing related services including lettings, income management, tenancy management and customer support.
The role of Project Officer will include:
- Supporting development and delivery of programmes and projects
- Providing effective support in managing projects, ensuring the effective collation, reporting and publishing of relevant information both internally and externally, identifying shortfalls and risks and highlighting these as necessary
- Assisting in ensuring that all projects are delivered in line with legislative and regulatory requirements
- Organising meetings and workshops as needed, including taking minutes, preparing papers and maintaining accurate records, in order to deliver an effective service and meet customer and organisational needs
- Contributing to reporting processes on the progress of projects and programmes throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that feedback is robust and that results are fed into key stakeholders
- Supporting the management and maintenance of relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers and contractors, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately, including investigating and responding to complaints
- Monitoring of project budgets and expenditure ensuring cost-effective solutions
- Maintaining all manual and computerised records in an accurate and timely manner to ensure compliance with the Group’s Record Management and Data Protection policies
- Contributing, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group's values and objectives
Skills and experiences:
- Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
- Some experience working within a housing environment
- Experience coordinating and managing a range of meetings and events
- Experience in analysing and diagnosing problems
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Some experience of using project management methodologies to support the successful delivery of projects
- Some experience of producing and analysing quality statistical information
