Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience in handling and understanding animals and be able to recognize obvious changes of appearance and activity of animals is highly desired. Must be able to identify animals by tattoos, tags, or natural markings such as color or color combinations, and separate or place them together by such criteria as strains, sex, age and size. Must be able to lift and carry items weighting up to 40 pounds. Must be able to perform basic cleaning, sterilizing, and sanitizing of kennels. Experience involving customer service is highly desirable.
