What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offer competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.  New hires are typically brought into the organization between $21.26 - $26.57/hour, based on experience and education. Location & Schedule

The City and County of Denver support a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work at the Wellington Webb Building (201 W Colfax Ave). The schedule for this position is typically Monday-Friday, with the option of a flex schedule. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

The Accounting Division of DOTI is seeking full-time Administrative Support Assistant III. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to help process payments for various city services like data entry, reporting, cashiering, invoicing, and records management. The position will require knowledge of generalized financial processes along with ability to do some research and reconciliation. 

Specifically, as an Administrative Support Assistant III you will: 

  • Process exceptions, from bank lockboxes and apply to accounts.

  • Manually post received funds to appropriate accounts with accuracy.

  • Perform research on various software applications to ensure proper and accurate postings.

  • Perform data entry on various excel spreadsheets.

  • Utilize and apply time management to all duties to ensure work is completed within a timely manner and meet monthly and Lien deadlines.

  • Respond to sensitive and time critical requests from leadership.

  • Performs other special assignments and related duties as assigned.

  • Make recommendations on how to make process improvements

What You’ll Bring

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong Customer Service and follow through skills

  • Ability to be flexible and pivot when project assignments require

  • Great Communication Skills – written and verbal

  • Well Organized, experience with time and priority management skills

  • Experience with processing financial transactions in Workday and financial systems

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.

  • Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of clerical experience.

  • Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requiremen
