The Contribution You’ll bring to this Role:

The Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement and Project Management will drive operational excellence through continuous improvement (CI) and strategic project management across the North American Justrite organization. This role serves as a hands-on leader, partnering with production teams, back-office staff, and stakeholders to facilitate Lean transformation, manage critical operations projects, and ensure post-project sustainment. 

This position combines CI expertise with project management responsibilities to deliver measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance. Interim reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role provides a clear pathway for career advancement within 2-5 years.

What You’ll Do at Justrite:

Leadership and Strategic Vision 

  • Develop and implement a company-wide CI strategy aligned with business goals. 
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability. 
  • Lead CI transformation across all business units (BUs) through Lean training and project facilitation. 

Operations Project Management 

  • Manage large-scale operations projects, including facility moves, equipment installations, and plant start-ups or closures. 
  • Develop and execute project plans with defined milestones, budgets, and resource allocation. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with business objectives. 
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery while mitigating risks and resolving issues. 

Lean Training and Implementation 

  • Lead workshops, Kaizen events, and training sessions to instill Lean principles and best practices. 
  • Train cross-functional teams on Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, 5S, and SMED. 

Cost Savings and Productivity Enhancement 

  • Analyze operations to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization. 
  • Drive significant cost savings through CI and project management initiatives. 

Project Management Leadership 

  • Oversee multiple, complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring scope, timeline, and budget adherence. 
  • Implement project tracking tools to measure progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders. 

Plant Operations Collaboration 

  • Use experience in plant operations to address challenges, mentor teams, and implement best practices. 
  • Conduct process reviews to recommend improvements in production, safety, and versatility. 

Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role. 
  • Proven success leading Kaizen events and driving CI initiatives. 
  • Expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping). 
  • Strong project management skills with experience in operations-related projects. 
  • Ability to travel up to 75%. 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification. 
  • Experience managing plant relocations or closures. 
  • Proficiency in M
