General Manager of Brewery Operations - Maintenance

Description
Objective
This position is responsible for the oversight of the brewery maintenance program with the goal to optimize preventative vs. reactive maintenance execution, parts ordering and inventory control, and department scheduling.
Essential Responsibilities
- Set a positive leadership example through proactive management
- Assist in maintaining all quality standards set for a Monster Brewing Company brewery
- Communicate effectively and timely using email, phone, text, and verbal tools
- Oversee facility maintenance department and ensure 24/7 coverage to support production and building maintenance
- Guide the brewery maintenance team in the proper execution of the day-to-day facilities tasks
- Improve and maintain brewery preventative maintenance program • Oversee effective and lasting maintenance of facility equipment
- Coordinate repair scheduling with relevant production managers and minimize unplanned downtime
- Collaborate with relevant production managers to develop, optimize, and implement CIL SOPs
- Respond quickly and connect relevant parties when problems arise • Ensure maintenance areas are clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards • Coordinate with third party vendors/contractors to execute projects on budget and on time
- Provide and maintain adequate supply of spare parts and maintenance tools inventoried in brewery CMMS
- Maintain up-to-date equipment and facility records and procedures (e.g., equipment manuals, schematic drawings, facility drawings)
- Continually evaluate all brewery equipment and assess hazard/risk potential for operators
- Set a good example for safety in the workplace
- Promotes and works with the brewery safety coordinator(s) and Monster Brewing Company safety director(s) to ensure all policies are adhered to and supported
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain 5S standards across the brewery
- Drive continuous improvement practices in maintenance department
- Communicate any product availability issues
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, SAP, CMMS inventory management
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and facilitate communication between departments
- Ability to demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate willingness to ask questions before proceeding with unsurety
- Ability to demonstrate responsible and well-informed decision making
Physical & Mental Requirements
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently to lift 50lbs to shoulder height and push or pull 160 lbs. pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls. May be required to work overnight shifts.

Minimum Education: B.S. Engineering preferred; High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
Required Minimum Certification: N/A Minimum
Experience: 7+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; 5+ years management experience, preferably over facility maintenance; 5+ years electrical work experience, including but not limited to VFDs, PLCs, control voltage, low & medium single- & three-phase systems 3+ years using CMMS software; 1+ year at administrative level Demonstrated proficiency in electrical schematics, mechanical systems, P&ID/layout drawings, pneumatics, VFD programming, and plumbing
Age Requirement: 21 years or older
