IT Senior Portfolio Manager is accountable for the delivery, monitoring, and execution of projects within the scope of assigned portfolio. This position oversees the management of the portfolio and partners with the project professionals, including Program and Project Managers, Portfolio Analysts, and leadership supporting the portfolios to ensure consistency with strategy, commitments, and goals to accelerate the achievement of business value. Senior Portfolio Managers closely align with Portfolio Sponsors (business and technical leaders) to ensure goals and objectives of each project under the respective portfolio are met. Guides, advises, and directs innovative approaches and solutions within and across the enterprise to achieve desired business outcomes. Partners and consults with various business and technical executives and leaders to deliver iterative business value and achieve business strategies and objectives. Coaches and mentors junior IT portfolio managers in critical skills development in support of organizational goals.

Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience leading IT projects, programs, and/or portfolios within a financial services institution
- 8+ years of experience in IT Program/Portfolio Management experience preferred . Also problem-solving function with cross-functional teams
- Strong research, analytical, planning, and organizational skills
- Customer-focused attitude and demonstrated success working proactively and efficiently to deliver results
- Knowledge of financial products and services, especially as it relates to various delivery channels preferred
- Knowledge of existing Financial products, services, and overall operational guidelines
- Strong knowledge of business analytical practices and methodologies and process improvement methodologies, e.g., Lean or Six Sigma a plus
- PMP, PgMP, PfMP, and/or PMI-ACP Certifications
- PPM tool experience (Planview Portfolios)
- Strategic Planning, Stakeholder Engagement, Project Portfolio Oversight, Performance Monitoring and Reporting and Resource Management:
- presenting/facilitating at the executive level
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
