Job Summary:

The Lead Operator may assist an area Team Leader with daily Operational tasks, or a Lead Operator may perform the role independent of a dedicated Team Leader. Lead Operators will be responsible for the functioning of designated areas in the absence of (or in additional support to) Team Leaders.

Assignments may not be limited to one area but, rather, a Lead Operator may need to perform these functions across multiple lines.

Essential Job Functions:

Performs job duties and functions of Machine Operator Assigns daily job duties to Operators on production lines and acts as point person for questions/concerns, as needed Assists in training of Operators on production lines, as needed Signs off on First Piece parts Performs audits on production lines, as needed Ensures Quality concerns are addressed, and Quality containment enforced Acts as point person for communication with Group Leader, as needed Ensures Operators are equipped with knowledge, tools, supplies, and components to perform job duties Maintains compliance of operational policies and procedures Communicates with Team Leader/Group Leader regarding noncompliance’s that require coaching or discipline of Operators Adheres to escalation procedures regarding Quality and machine concerns

  • Intermediate computer competencies
  • Understanding of company Policies and Procedures
  • Demonstrated organization skills and time management
  • Attention to detail

Minimum Education required:

  • HS diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience Required:

  • One years’ experience in Machine Operator role
