About the Team: 

The Marketing team is responsible for creating and capturing demand for StarTree and Apache Pinot. The global team is fast-paced, high-velocity, and partners closely with the revenue, product, and developer relations teams. The focus is always on creating engaging educational experiences & content to build StarTree (and Pinot) awareness, and growing StarTree via supporting sales-led pipeline creation and free trial Product-led growth (PLG) revenue.

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven product marketing leader to join our marketing team at StarTree. The candidate will be responsible for leading messaging & positioning, product marketing, and technical content marketing. It’s an exciting opportunity to raise awareness of the real-time analytics market & StarTree’s leadership position. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and management, with some hands-on execution. Key Responsibilities:

- Report to the Chief Marketing Officer and lead product marketing strategy & execution: Build the team and provide frameworks/processes to launch products, showcase our technical differentiation, and partner closely with product and sales leadership to ensure the sales team is enabled on the value proposition.

- Be a key stakeholder in product strategy through providing market insights & requirements, conducting market research and win-loss analysis, steering customer advisory board formats, and contributing to pricing strategy. 

- Lead the marketing organization to prioritize which segments (use cases & industries) to pursue based on analyzing demand from various data sources.

- Lead technical content marketing strategy: Align DevRel and Content Marketing teams, alongside content contributors from within the engineering and product management org. Build a clear content strategy that aligns critical topics to personas, use cases, and industries, and buying stages. 

- Own Analyst Relations in partnership with the head of product. Build the strategy of whom to influence when and how, and ensure StarTree’s value proposition is clear to those who influence buying criteria.

- Support the development of our partnership strategy by collaborating with the VP, Channels & Alliances and supporting the creation of joint assets and sales plays.

What We're Looking For:

- 10-15 years of experience in product marketing, with a minimum of 5 years experience running the function.

- Experience working for startups in the data & analytics space.

- Previous responsibility for owning messaging & positioning.

- Experience with category creation and shaping new markets.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building and maintaining relationships with customers and partners.

- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously across cross-functional groups.

- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities.
