Job Description
General Statement of Duties:
The Department of Business Administration at Augsburg University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach undergraduate accounting courses. These courses are taught by integrating Microsoft Excel into course materials and assignments.
The opening is for face-to-face classes taught during the day. In addition to teaching the class and grading student work, instructors are expected to respond to student questions through email and regularly schedule office hours. The course coordinator will share a course syllabus, textbook information, and sample homework assignments. Instructors will be expected to be in contact with the course coordinator before classes begin and regularly during the semester. Shared office space is available.
Each fall or spring course requires 10-12 hours per week for 15-16 weeks. Teaching in person is a union position covered by a collective bargaining agreement with SIEU, pay starts at $5,550 per course.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates must have either a Masters in Accounting or a MBA with a CPA and work experience in the accounting field.
- A commitment to student engagement and student success with a diverse group of learners
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have experience teaching financial and managerial accounting at the postsecondary level.
