Director, Facilities
As the Director, Facilities, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and operational functions of our multifamily residential properties. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled professionals, ensuring the properties are well-maintained, safe, and operate efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of facility management, and a commitment to delivering superior service to our residents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:
o Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, groundskeepers, and other facilities personnel
o Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success
o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
Maintenance Operations:
o Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of property systems
o Oversee routine inspections and assessments of properties to identify maintenance needs
o Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions
o Manage relationships with contractors and vendors for maintenance services
Budgeting and Cost Control:
o Develop and manage the facilities and maintenance budget
o Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
o Negotiate contracts with service providers to optimize cost-effectiveness
· Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure properties comply with relevant safety and building codes
o Implement and enforce safety protocols for maintenance activities
o Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices
Resident Satisfaction:
o Collaborate with property managers to address resident maintenance requests promptly
o Maintain a high level of resident satisfaction by ensuring well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing properties

Qualifications
· Proven experience in facilities and maintenance management, preferably in multifamily property management
· Strong leadership and team management skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
· Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and maintenance best practices
· Budgeting and financial management skills
