What are you going to do?

Our client is a leading research, data and insights provider that helps companies maximize revenue, optimize spend, and anticipate digital disruption today and in the years ahead.

As a Quality Engineer, you will join our Quality Engineering team’s transformation to an automation-first approach. You will have a direct impact on the evolution of our testing and release processes. You will work hand in hand with our designers and engineers to propel the client's brand and technology into the future.

Initially the work will be 80% manual testing, while working towards an "automation first" setup.

Responsibilities:

• Work on a modern scrum team by participating in planning meetings, daily stand- ups, 1:1s and retrospective sessions
• Create and document test cases/scenarios
• Write automated tests across multiple browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
• Use industry best practices and techniques, including exploratory techniques, to perform manual testing to verify user stories before deployment
• Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement
• Understand our products and system components, how they interact with one another, in order to design and execute different types of testing, including: functional, system, regression and acceptance.

 

What will help you succeed

• Experience as a Quality Engineer, performing both manual and automated testing
• Mobile Testing experience (Android/iOS)
• Experience with multiple web testing frameworks, including enhancing and extending the frameworks (preferably including Playwright or other frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, etc)
• Experience programming in an object-oriented language (preferably JavaScript or TypeScript)
• Strong experience applying black box testing techniques
• Experience with Exploratory Testing techniques (Session-Based Test Management preferred)
• Experience with Behavior-Drive Development (BDD) methodologies
• Familiar with non-functional testing (performance, security, and accessibility)
• Experience with CI/CD integration
