About this team:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Demand UI team, helping to ensure that quality is integrated into the entire Software Development Lifecycle.  The Demand UI team owns configuration and reporting for Clearline (an advertising buying platform), as well as some internal tools. This position will collaborate closely with Product and Project Management, Development, Release Engineering and other Quality Engineering teams to improve the testing process, ensure quality and provide confidence in our releases.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, You Will:

  • Design Test Strategies: Analyze and deconstruct complex, heavily integrated software systems to develop effective test strategies.

  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, contribute to acceptance criteria, and provide accurate estimations while demonstrating commitment to quality.

  • Drive Automation: Partner with automation engineers to develop automated tests that enhance release confidence and reduce test cycle duration.

  • Manual Testing Support: Conduct manual testing when automation is impractical, ensuring coverage and quality.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product, project, and development teams to identify and mitigate technical, business, and process-related risks.

  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze current processes and contribute to ongoing enhancements of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Foster Collaboration: Promote a team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration across multiple teams to deliver high-quality software.

  • QA Signoff: Be responsible for Quality Assurance signoff on releases, ensuring readiness for deployment.

  • Advocate for Quality: Represent Quality Engineering needs while actively listening to and addressing partner concerns.

  • Enhance Visibility: Bring transparency to Quality Engineering activities and plans, fostering a culture of accountability.

  • Become an Expert: Develop deep knowledge of SpringServe and its connected properties to identify risks and ensure thorough testing.

We’re Looking for Someone With:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a Quality Assurance Lead role, 5+ years in Quality Assurance.

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Testing Knowledge: A solid understanding of front-end testing with the capability to comprehend full-stack integrations.

  • Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying and mitigating risks early in the SDLC.

  • Collaboration Mindset: A passion for engaging with partners to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in project quality management and a strong foundation in testing technologies.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the Ad Tech industry.

  • Familiarity with UI automation frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright.
