Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for scheduling carrier pickups, creating bills of lading, inventory maintenance, receiving vendor shipments, coordinating export shipments, and creating export documents. They are also responsible for customer service and answering phone calls/emails to ensure effective and timely shipments and communication with customer support departments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment
• Examine incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items, and recording shortages
• Schedule carrier pickups and create bills of lading
• inventory maintenance including cycle counts and inventory adjustments electronically
• Receiving vendor shipments
• Coordinating export shipments and creating export documents
• Responsible for customer service within the warehouse including answering phone calls/emails to ensure effective and timely shipments and communication with customer support departments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent GED required; 2 year Technical Degree preferred
• 2+ years of similar warehouse clerk/clerical experience
• Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining focus on safety
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Experience using a computer, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
