SUMMARY

 

Drives liquefied gas powered or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift and clamps to lift, stack, tier, rotate or move products, equipment, or materials.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.
• Receives and confirms inbounds in WMS utilizing the put away team and completes the corresponding paper work.
• Stores and retrieves totes or rework from racks located in TS2 and TS3 as directed by the tote room lead utilizing directive and manual warehouse moves in WMS.
• Ensures rework pallets are staged for rework and filled totes are returned to the tote room or tote storages in a timely manner.
• Assists tote room and frozen grading personnel as needed.
• Receives totes in WMS system and assigns quality and location.
• Ability to blend totes to the correct process order utilizing WMS system.
• Dumps, fabricates, and dismantles totes for redistribution or product storage.
• Assists with the stage of packaging supplies such as cases and poly to packaging staging areas.
• Retrieves materials for tote room and frozen grading room such as totes, liners and pallets needed for packaging operations
• Performs inventory adjustments in WMS system.
• Segregates broken pallets and rejects broken or poor quality by loading them in the return trailer. 
• Perform other forklift related duties as needed.
• Clean and sanitize machinery and equipment during schedule clean up and down time.
• Operates and understands the function of a forklift, pallet squeeze, and slip sheet machine. 
• Identifies all cuts and quality attributes in totes.
• Replaces battery or fills propane tank on gas-powered forklift.
• Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job specific required training and monthly informational meetings.
• Communicates problems or changes in department to supervisor or appropriate personnel.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation.
• Helps build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.
• Participates in continuous improvement process.
• Must adhere to the McCain Code of Conduct.
• The employee may be required to successfully complete the orientation and training provided during the first ninety- (90) days of employment.
