About Global Internal Audit (GIA)

JLL's Global Internal Audit team is dedicated to protecting our brand and enabling business growth through superior, curated internal audit services. We deliver independent, objective assurance and advisory products that drive enterprise value. As we embrace the future of auditing, data analytics plays a crucial role in enhancing our precision, efficiency, and strategic impact.

Role Overview

The Data Analytics Specialist is a key position within our Global Internal Audit team. In this role, you'll design and implement data-driven solutions for audit engagements, collaborate with audit teams to enhance analytical approaches, and contribute to the advancement of our data analytics capabilities.

This position is ideal for an innovative, detail-oriented professional who thrives in an autonomous environment with minimal supervision. You'll take full ownership of analytics projects from inception to delivery, proactively managing stakeholder relationships while anticipating needs rather than waiting for assignments. As we prepare for the future of audit technology, including autonomous agents, you will be instrumental in developing the foundational capabilities that enable this transformation. We're seeking someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work independently and is excited about pioneering next-generation audit methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage end-to-end analytics projects, from initial scoping through final delivery, with minimal oversight
  • Proactively identify and communicate project risks, opportunities, and timeline adjustments to stakeholders
  • Identify and propose automation and process improvement opportunities to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness
  • Design data analytics approaches that align with engagement objectives and internal audit standards
  • Collaborate with audit teams to develop analytics requirements and approaches for engagements
  • Design, develop, and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards to support audit planning and execution
  • Reformulate business questions from audit teams into structured analytics problem statements
  • Develop and validate hypotheses about relationships between inputs and outputs in audit data
  • Create comprehensive data management plans for audit analytics projects
  • Gather, clean, and analyze complex datasets from diverse sources across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Apply intermediate data analysis techniques to test controls and identify anomalies
  • Integrate data analytics into audit planning and risk assessment processes
  • Create data-driven approaches to evaluate governance structures and processes
  • Develop analytics methods to test for potential fraud indicators and anomalies
  • Support development of strategic data pipelines and agentic workflows in preparation for next-generation autonomous audit technologies
  • Create compelling data visualizations and "data stories" to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Document data findings in a clear, actionable format for stakeholders
  • Anticipate future analytical needs and recommend innovative solutions to address emerging audit challenges
  • Support the development and maintenance of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models for domain-specific knowledge in audits
  • Analyze data to assess compliance with key regulatory requirements
  • Support integrated assurance approaches by coordinating with other assurance providers

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Proven ability to work autonomously with exceptional attention to detail, taking full ownership of deliverables with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated track record of proactive stakeholder management, including regular status updates, risk identification, and solution-oriented communication
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and analytical innovation with minimal direction
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects independently with strong time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities<
