Prudential Investment Risk is seeking a Senior Associate for its Counterparty Risk unit.  You will help assess, analyze and risk manage a broad portfolio of complex financial products, including but not limited to derivatives, reinsurance, structured financing solutions.  The role will also entail helping develop advanced analytics, stress test frameworks and limits associated with credit and counterparty risk exposure management.

The current Employee Work Arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

Your Impact:

  • Serve as a key member of the Counterparty Risk team, focusing on identifying, assessing, and managing Prudential’s counterparty risk across a range of transaction types, include derivatives and reinsurance.
  • Subject matter expertise with respect to various areas of financial risk management, such as stress testing, hedging, capital planning, collateral management, risk appetite framework, reinsurance, and model risk/analytics
  • Perform credit risk reviews of existing and prospective counterparties.
  • Help develop counterparty risk analytics and data solutions in collaboration with the Chief Investment Office, Actuarial, and Global Technology
  • Help communicate changes in risk exposure and emerging risk themes
  • Develop strong professional rapport and collaboration with colleagues from various Risk and Corporate Functions in the execution of strategic transactions and other business initiatives
  • Help enhance Prudential’s counterparty risk practices and governance

Your Skillset:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Advanced degree in Fin./ related fields, or CFA is a plus
  • Between 5-7 years of experience as a risk manager or financial analyst
  • Experience with fundamental credit analysis
  • Experience with capital and liquidity planning and stress testing, investment risk and market & credit risk management, reinsurance
  • Familiarity with the systems used by Risk, Chief Investment Office, Treasury
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with coding and data management tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau) is a plus
  • Self-starter with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple tasks with competing priorities both independently and within a team construct

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $148,800.00 to $201,200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
