About the Role:
As a Senior Accountant at our biopharmaceutical company, you will be a key player in managing and overseeing our financial operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, preparing detailed financial reports, and supporting our month-end close process. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, and experience working in a public company or public accounting firm. Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
Conduct complex account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger, adhering to public company standards and regulations. This includes handling research and development accruals, intercompany account reconciliations, and elimination entries
Lead the month-end close processes in compliance with public company requirements, accounting for research and development studies, and reviewing various account balances and transactions
Ensure strict adherence to GAAP, SOX, and company policies, and assist in preparing financial audits
Collaborate with the Business and Finance teams to analyze expense trends and provide valuable insights for decision-making
Support the implementation of financial systems and process improvements, focusing on aligning with public company standards and enhancing accounting controls and processes
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, sharing your valuable public company experience and best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a relevant field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a public company or public accounting role, showcasing a deep understanding of public company financial operations
