Job Description
Scope of Position: The Lead is responsible for several criteria and activities as well as being well informed with the most current TSA Certified Cargo Screening Facility (“CCSF”) rules. This individual must report to the Facility Security Coordinator (“FSC”) for all CCSF-related matters. The Lead demonstrates leadership and ownership of operations and cargo screening activities by strictly following all regulatory job requirements. While part of the scope includes complete understanding with relation to the TSA regulations, included are also the criteria for ensuring all processes of the AXP/GTWY operation are being executed correctly and that proper communication is taking place between the management team and the staff.
Position Schedule: Monday- Friday, 17:00-01:30 (5PM- 1:30AM)
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Administration:
- Ensure to adhere to all airline and over the road lock-outs;
- Be an expert in the screening procedures (Note: this means reading and becoming intimately familiar with the Amendment, not merely reading this job description);
- Communicate with all relevant stake holders regarding any issues (AXP/GTWY) teams
- Ensure to have the staff complete required training within the required timeframes
- Supervise any on-the-job training
- Escalate any relevant issue to the management team
- Train any new temp labor and or Expeditors employee
- Ensure to maintain a safe working environment for the staff
- Maintain professional appearance of the facility.
- Manage, Approve and Control OT for staff. Ensure that is communicated to management.
- Ensure that all tools are being reviewed and actioned: HOTSHEET, PUTAWAY, INVENTORY
- Complete roll over to Supervisor on Duty
- Complete (own) and monitor teams training
- Ensure reviews are completed timely
Access Control:
- Monitor that all visitors or employees without Security Threat Assessments are escorted at all times;
- Challenge and remove anyone entering the DSA without properly following procedures
- Train and verify that everyone in the DSA knows and follows the challenge procedures when required
- Actively monitors security of doors and usage of dock restraint system
AXP/GTWY Warehouse:
- Actively monitor the warehouse HotSheet
- Communication with onsite dispatcher to ensure effective loading of screened/unscreened cargo
- Communication with teams via email (AXP/GTWY teams)
- Working closely with the AXP/GTWY office to ensure efficient readying of consols take place
- Managing the staff to avoid unwarranted OT
- Oversight to the security box functions
- Ensure all warehouse procedures are being followed by staff
- Actively have one-on-ones with the staff
- Ensure that training is being completed by the staff
- Monitor supply levels
- Ensure Safety procedures are being followed
Safety:
- Ensure all employees follow safety procedures with operating forklift
- Complete safety incident reports (as needed)
- Ensure all employees are wearing uniforms and protective footwear
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent required
- Successful candidates must pass a background check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must not require future sponsorship for employment
