JOB OVERVIEW: As a Senior System Administrator, you'll provide technical expertise and leadership in managing system and database administration tasks. This role encompasses monitoring and optimizing performance, managing software installations and upgrades, developing capacity plans, and implementing system changes in collaboration with management. It involves designing and configuring complex system landscapes, ensuring data recoverability through backups and archives, and planning data refresh strategies. You will be responsible for improving system reliability and performance through database solutions, maintaining system integrity with appropriate patches, and keeping system documentation current. Additionally, the role includes addressing client management queries, resolving system issues, and providing guidance to junior team members.
WORKSITE: Remote
WORK SCHEDULE: 8:30 am-5:00 pm PST. There will be an on-call rotation, and you must be available outside regular working hours.
COMPENSATION: $42-$44 Per Hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Administer and manage Oracle WebLogic 14 Application Server, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Tomcat, Kafka, Apex, and AWS environments.
- Apply patches, perform upgrades, and implement Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and system administrators to support application deployments and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis for technical issues.
- Plan and implement enterprise-level system changes while adhering to change management processes.
- Ensure system reliability through effective middleware administration and proactive maintenance.
- Mentor team members and participate in on-call rotations for critical outages.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 5+ years of Oracle WebLogic and Fusion Middleware administration experience.
- 3+ years of AWS administration expertise, including API Gateway, ECS, Lambda, and other services.
- Solid background in Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of Windows/Linux server technologies and networking concepts.
- Effective collaboration with third-party vendors and internal support teams.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Desired qualifications include Oracle certification, Unix/Linux system administration experience, and familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence.
