Role Summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will drive the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance, while integrating AI/ML components to enhance system intelligence. This role requires strong technical judgment, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving to meet business objectives. You will contribute to engineering excellence through mentorship, innovation, and adherence to best practices, ensuring high-quality, reliable software that supports Walmart’s platform and customer experience goals.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of software features and AI/ML components aligned with platform objectives.
- Write clean, efficient code in Java, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and define success metrics.
- Drive continuous integration, automated testing, and monitoring to maintain high-quality software performance.
- Participate in design reviews, mentor peers, and promote engineering best practices.
- Manage DevOps processes and proactively address system issues to ensure reliability and uptime.
What You'll Bring:
- 7+ years of proven experience as a software engineer, including Java proficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to build and deploy applications and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Strong experience with full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, and maintenance.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging GenAI tools to enhance software intelligence.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools to ensure reliable and scalable deployments.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Skilled in collaborating across teams to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Commitment to engineering excellence through code quality, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
