Join Our Team as a Restaurant Server at Embassy Suites by Hilton!

Are you ready to bring your energy, enthusiasm, and passion for hospitality to a fast-paced restaurant and bar environment? At Embassy Suites by Hilton, we’re looking for dedicated Restaurant Servers who excel in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Restaurant Server is to provide guests with an outstanding restaurant experience, offering exceptional service in our vibrant dining and bar setting.

Work Performed:

As a Restaurant Server, your responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling dining reservations and arranging parties or special services.

  • Ensuring prompt, friendly, and courteous service to all guests.

  • Answering telephone calls and processing phone orders with accuracy.

  • Greeting guests, escorting them to tables, providing menus, and answering dining-related questions while suggesting food and beverage items.

  • Taking and relaying food and beverage orders to the kitchen, then serving guests promptly.

  • Coordinating amenity delivery requests with the kitchen department.

  • Monitoring tables in your section to ensure all guests receive timely service.

  • Addressing guest complaints with professionalism and a commitment to resolution.

  • Collecting and processing guest payments accurately and efficiently.

  • Totaling receipts at the end of your shift to verify sales and balancing the cash register.

  • Ensuring tips are reported correctly for tax purposes.

  • Clearing dirty table settings and resetting tables with speed and precision.

  • Maintaining stock and cleanliness of service stations, including silverware, linens, and condiments.

  • Inspecting dining areas to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

  • Assisting service staff to ensure guests are served promptly during busy periods.

  • Following all company safety and security policies, including reporting accidents and unsafe conditions to management.

  • Performing additional duties as required to support restaurant operations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • At least six (6) months of prior customer service, restaurant, or cashier experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Food Safety Training certification (or willingness to become certified within the first 60 days of employment).

  • Alcohol Awareness certification (or willingness to become certified within the first 60 days of employment).

  • Physical ability to: Lift a minimum of 50 lbs., Bend and squat repeatedly, Walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shifts.
