Position Summary

 

In the Sanitation role, you will perform clean-up duties throughout the plant and effectively be a part of our safety policies and procedures. You will work in hot, cold, and dusty environments. Since we’re a safety-first culture, much of your responsibility will focus on ensuring top-notch cleanliness for the plant. Candidates must be open to work off shifts and weekends as needed. This is an excellent role to learn all about our company environment and procedures and is a great starting point for developing a long term career with Nestle Purina.

 

• Ensure a clean and safe production environment including sanitation, sweeping, cleaning of machinery and remove trash and recycling
• Regularly lift items up to 57 pounds safely
• Operate walkie, sweeper, and scrubber safely
• Perform dye making and drying
• Assist production team with changeovers
• Develop working knowledge of production equipment and operations

 

Requirements

 

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ months production, cleaning, janitorial, or sanitation related experience required

 

Other

• Must be comfortable working nights and weekends
• Past experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse or military related environment preferred

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $21.30 an hour for Sanitation Class 1. The pay progression plan follows: Sanitation Class 2 $22.55, Sanitation Class 3 $23.81, Sanitation Class 4 $25.06. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
