Qualifications Required in the Job:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in portfolio construction, portfolio optimization, or investment risk management (or 3–5 years in investment management overall).
- Demonstrated expertise in portfolio construction principles, asset allocation, portfolio optimization, and risk‑adjusted decision‑making across multi‑asset investment strategies.
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience with multi‑factor risk models, analytics frameworks, and optimization platforms such as Aladdin, MSCI, or Axioma.
- Strong understanding of investment risk measurement and evaluation across market, factor, liquidity, concentration, and structural risks.
- Advanced quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable risk insights.
- Proficiency with AI tools, spreadsheets, databases, programming languages, and institutional investment risk platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, R, Python, Tableau, FactSet, Bloomberg, Aladdin, MSCI, Axioma).
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses required (or ability to obtain within six months); progress toward or completion of FRM® or CFA® designations strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across investment teams and develop familiarity with Edward Jones’ investment philosophy, business model, and client‑centric culture.
