Job Description

Position Summary:

Cirrus is investing in the future of our affordable housing team with a newly created Compliance Department focused on growth, innovation, and excellence. In this dynamic role, you’ll lead a team, drive strategic initiatives, and set new standards in compliance across our portfolio.

As the Regional Director of Compliance, you will ensure compliance across our affordable housing portfolio, directly impacting the success of our properties. Working with the Executive VP, you will lead a regional team to uphold company policies, regulatory standards, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Oversight: Implement and monitor adherence to LIHTC, HUD, HOME, HTF, and other regulatory requirements across a regional portfolio. Ensure staff compliance with essential programs and stay updated on legislative changes.

  • Regulatory Relations: Serve as the primary contact for regulatory bodies, maintaining industry knowledge and negotiating to mitigate risks.

  • Leadership: Guide and mentor a compliance team, promoting excellence, adaptability, and effective communication. Foster cross-functional collaboration to improve operations and outcomes.

  • Budget & Business Management: Manage department budget and expenditures, developing the compliance business to contribute to organizational goals.

  • Strategic Planning: Lead strategic initiatives to optimize compliance functions, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with property management, finance, legal, and asset management to align on compliance goals and enhance project outcomes.

  • Operational Support: Oversee Cirrus Compliance Support, ensuring effective policy implementation and training for consistency across the portfolio.

  • Technology Integration: Enhance compliance processes by utilizing property management software like Yardi to streamline compliance data management.

  • Professionalism: Maintain organized records, meet deadlines, and uphold confidentiality standards in communication with stakeholders.
