Hourly:

Hourly Wage Scale: $27.29 USD hourly + Benefits (+ Bonus) 

 

The hourly range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, exact compensation will be determined based on education/training, skill set, experience, and other organizational needs.

 

Shift Differential Pay:

Swing - $0.15

Graveyard - $0.75

JOB PURPOSE:

Leads and coordinates activities of the central palletizer area, which includes automatic palletizers, stretch wrappers, pallet conveyors, cimpacks, and ATL system.  Monitors and oversees changes in computer systems such as WMS, SAP, and CoLos designer.  Assists the packaging supervisor to oversee daily operations of the palletizer area and keeps an open line of communication with both plants, shuttle drivers, and 3PLs-party warehouse while performing many of the same duties as the palletizer operator.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Directs the overall daily operations of the auto-palletizer room by coordinating labor, challenging efficiencies, and verifying the accuracy of inbound and outbound production while often performing auto-palletizer duties.
  • Lead and develop new and existent talent in the use of warehouse operations, equipment, safety, and accuracy while promoting and enforcing GMP's and housekeeping programs such as 5's and CID's.
  • Creates, verifies, and releases information to the automated systems by proficiently utilizing internal computer software such as WMS, SAP, CoLos, BW information systems, and Ancra information systems.   In addition, utilizes all of the mentioned systems to assist in the correction of discrepancies and organization contingency processes of schedule and unplanned downtime. 
  • Directs and promotes communication within packaging departments on both plants by providing reports and using open communications to coordinate changes, downtime, contingency, and the End of shift report.

  • Allocates resources across the department to maximize room accuracy, efficiency, and safety. 
  • Proficient in all computer systems with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies and system-related issues.
  • Maintains a safe, well-organized, and clean environment while challenging daily operations.

 

 

 

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

 

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Valid McCain Foods Forklift Operator’s License.
