General Manager

We are a growing global contract logistics provider with operations in over 40 countries at 95 separate sites within our Automotive and Technology divisions. We operate highly complex and highly technical 4-walled warehouses for our global clients.The Warehouse 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) General Manager oversees the comprehensive logistics and operational strategies within the warehouse facility, orchestrating seamless third-party logistics services. Responsible for the efficient management of inventory, staffing, and distribution operations, they lead teams to ensure optimal productivity, quality, and client satisfaction. Tasked with client relations, they foster strong partnerships, aligning services with client needs and contractual obligations. Their role encompasses the development and implementation of streamlined processes, cost-effective solutions, and adherence to industry standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a sharp focus on safety, compliance, and profitability within the 3PL warehouse environment.

About the Role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct warehousing operations for a multi-client operation
• Lead a team of operations professionals in all aspects of warehousing operations (Maintenance, Electrode, Assembly, and Formation, as well as supporting functions as needed)
• Responsible for the introduction of new products, new materials, and upgrades into the warehouse through continuous improvement. Support design teams, creating process plans, tracking budget costs and project schedules, and developing countermeasures for timely completion of project goals
• Accountable for the overall financial performance of the operations team, focusing on revenue recognition, cost management, working capital management, and cash flow objectives.
• Accountable for delivery of key production performance indicators – output, cost, yield, safety, quality targets, and production staffing
• Drives continuous improvement and standard work across all organizational elements of the site using Key Performance metrics formats, and other systems of maintaining measurement and accountability. Plans and recommends and implements investment to drive cost reduction, productivity improvement, and process controls.
• Develop and deliver continuous improvement initiatives in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives
• Lead by example of positive reinforcement and making the Company a World Class Manufacturing organization.
