About this role:
The Maintenance Technician executes preventive and corrective maintenance of the equipment and facilities at a Carrier manufacturing facility, ensuring uptime and reliability. This role supports equipment installation and integration and works across shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Executes preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance routines.
Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
Supports the assembly, installation, and integration of equipment.
Record interventions in the CMMS / maintenance management system.
Complies with all safety standards (OSHA, LOTO, permits) on interventions.
Supports autonomous maintenance and TPM initiatives.
Strengthen troubleshooting expectations related to automated equipment, sensors, drives, PLCs, and control systems.
Provide root cause analysis and corrective action implementation support.
Provides Support for equipment commissioning, startup, and validation activities.
Required Qualifications:
Trade school/Technical School/ Associates Degree
2+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Trade school / technical/associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or Mechatronics.
Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
Ability to troubleshoot automated equipment, sensors, drives, PLCs, and control systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
Working knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance and CMMS documentation.
Deep understanding of predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, and condition monitoring.
Strong safety orientation (OSHA, LOTO) and availability to work rotating shifts.
Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, climbing, standing for extended periods) per role requirements.
Experience with equipment installation and integration.
