Job Description Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic-minded Finance Manager to join PayPal’s FP&A team supporting Venmo Financial Services products. In this position, you will partner with the senior product leaders across the portfolio of businesses to manage budgets, develop forecasts, and uncover new opportunities to accelerate the business. The role will be a key focal point in facilitating financial decision-making through building business cases, developing operational management of initiatives, and diagnosing challenges or opportunities. An ideal candidate will demonstrate strong financial modeling skills, offer a strategic perspective, and possess strong business acumen.Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex financial models to support Venmo Financial Services products forecasting and annual budgeting exercises.
- Own products financial performance reporting and tracking of overall outlook vs targets by bringing summary of variances and key drivers.
- Partner with regional and corporate finance teams to drive clear alignment for product–level financial plans and results.
- Lead monthly outlook and month end variance driver analysis by collaborating with key stakeholders to understand the trends of leading indicators.
- Collaborate with senior business partners to define and analyze critical business and financial goals to drive accountability and influence critical decision making.
- Support bank partner RFI/RFP validation analysis to support long-term growth.
- Lead financial analysis on new business initiatives to understand and prioritize opportunities.
- Work with other regional and cross-functional teams including Accounting, Risk, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Payments Partnership Marketing to deliver valuable insights and recommendations.
Experience / Skills:
- Advanced Proficiency with MS Office specifically with Excel and PowerPoint
- 5+ years progressive experience in financial planning/analytics/strategic finance roles
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint.
- SQL and / or Essbase experience a plus.
- Strong analytics and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work and execute in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player attitude, partnering, and collaboration skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA/
