Job Description

• Ensuring that daily accounting operations are done in accordance with the local legislation, IFRS and best practices;
• Recruitment and coaching of the accounting and payroll team in Poland, coordinating their efforts so that they work in synch with the rest of the organization;
• Ongoing review of the accounting team work, including close management of work during month end;
• Liaising with Accounting Manager, particularly when coordinating efforts during the month end close;
• Ensuring that all internal controls are in place in Poland and monitoring ongoing adherence;
• In case of absence of any team member, provide for replacement to ensure continuity of accounting function;
• Cash flow management: monthly cash flow forecast for group Financial Manager, ensure that company has sufficient resources to pay its invoices in the due time;
• Preparation of VAT report & submitting to tax authorities; ensuring that tax is calculated and accounted for in compliance with the local tax legislation
• Controlling and approving payments (payroll, invoices, taxes and other);
• Following up that tax payments and payments to suppliers are done within stipulated deadlines;
• Ensuring that Evolution Group’s financial procedures are followed and complied with;
• Monthly closing procedures: Ensuring that month is closed properly – necessary calculations of depreciation and accruals are in place;

• Ensuring that transactions entered during the month were done properly and accurately by selecting correct accounts, correct periods and correct accounting principles;

• Issuing monthly invoices for services (broadcasting, management fees and similar);

• Reconciliation of monthly group balances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting or Finance;
• At least 5 years of experience working as a Chief Accountant;
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal);
• Excellent MS office skills;
• Good accounting software skills;
• Good knowledge of tax & labor code legislation;
• Excellent organizational and communication skills;
• Job experience in work within International Organizations;
• The ability to set priorities and exercise flexibility where necessary;
• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently, commitment to learn and develop;
• Creative approach to problem solving;
• High aptitude for management, planning, and analyzing business situations;
• Punctuality and ability to meet deadlines.
