This position reports to the Head of Translational Science Oral Care. Kenvue is currently in the process of moving its Global Headquarters from Skillman, NJ to Summit, NJ.  This role is based in Summit, NJ but there may be a period of time during the transition that you must report to Skillman, NJ.

Location: Kenvue is currently in the process of moving its Global Headquarters from Skillman, NJ to Summit, NJ.  This role is based in Summit, NJ but there may be a period of time during the transition that you must report to Skillman, NJ.

Travel %: 5%

Pay: $141,000 - $192,000

What will you do 

The Manager R&D Translational Science, Oral Care is responsible for leading R&D teams focused on conducting foundational clinical and applied research for building the science around our one of our most iconic brands such as LISTERINE®. Team capabilities include Claims Strategy and Substantiation, Clinical Strategy and Consumer Science. This role will require partnering closely with Oral Care End to End Product Development and Marketing Partners to help shape and deliver the products, claims and communication pipelines to consumers and HCPs.  External engagement is critical for identifying partnerships that will develop the future of care in these key categories as well as communication externally of the science behind our products.  All of these activities are in collaboration with marketing, regulatory, legal, statistics/data management and business development.

The Manager of R&D Translational Science will also be responsible for a small team (3-4) subject matter experts and provide daily coaching and development. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, execute and analyze/interpret data from clinical studies focusing on assessing clinical safety and efficacy of oral care related technologies.
• Define pilots for new methodologies, define success criteria and test design. Design foundational studies to support oral care science and the benefit of Listerine. 
• Internal and external focus to identify best in class methodologies, claims language and consumer- and HCP- facing communications that can be leveraged across various projects.   
• Make recommendations on consumer centric methodologies that can be applied to various types of innovation projects.
• Partner with various stakeholders (i.e. R&D teams, data scientists) to identify how to leverage consumer and clinical data for claim innovation.  Make recommendations on how to leverage data to accelerate decision making.
• Lead a team of scientists and guide their individual talent development
