OXOS is searching for an Electrical Engineering Team Lead to join our high-growth company. You will join a dynamic team of passionate people who work daily to change how radiographic diagnostics are delivered. OXOS’ mission is to increase access and availability using the world’s first handheld Dynamic Digital Radiography Device. The Electrical Engineering Team Lead will and guide the EE development team to create cutting-edge, low-dose x-ray machines that revolutionize medical imaging. The  EE Team Lead will ensure that the team adheres to the highest quality standards, resulting in superior products that improve patient care and redefine the standard of radiographic imaging. The EE Team Lead will manage a high-performing team, ensuring successful project delivery through efficient allocation of resources, adherence to project timelines, proactive risk management, and meticulous technical design and review.

Responsibilities

As the Electrical Engineering Team Lead, your core duties will be to: 

  • Recruit and onboard talented individuals with the right technical skills and cultural fit.
  • Foster effective communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Collaborate with other Engineering Team Leads to ensure efficient handoff of qualified deliverables and proactively communicate impacts to overall shared project timelines. 
  • Efficiently allocate resources, including human resources, equipment, and budget, to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement streamlined workflows to enhance efficiency, eliminate bottlenecks, and reduce project turnaround time.
  • Implement robust testing and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement a robust estimation process that accurately predicts project timelines, resource requirements, and potential risks.
  • Consistently and accurately report timeline and status to VP of Product and the Technical Project Owners using OXOS project management platforms.
  • Take ownership of EE deliverable timelines and proactively manage project progress to meet or exceed the reported deadlines.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered successfully, meeting all the specified requirements and objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership by staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Facilitate comprehensive design reviews to ensure that engineering solutions align with project requirements, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Enable engineers to excel by offering mentorship, coaching, and encouraging comprehensive professional development opportunities.
  • Enable the team to consistently deliver best-in-class engineering output by fostering a culture of excellence, emphasizing attention to detail, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Strong EE fundamentals and HW/SW debugging skills with lab equipment
  • Experience with Altium, PCB Fabrication, IEC 60601-1
  • Experience with full time direct reports
  • Technical experience in electrical systems design
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
