IT Concepts seeks an experienced Business Analyst to support IT initiatives in the Veterans Health Information Exchange, Exchange Partner Management (EPM) team. The EPM team is the main point of contact when interfacing with partner stakeholders within VA Exchange, including participating external providers, health information exchanges, and networks, to sustain and improve query-based VA health information exchange. This role includes acting as an advocate for internal and external stakeholders, working with technical subject matter experts to troubleshoot health information exchange system issues, non-VA provider education and communication, proactive monitoring and analysis of partner statistics, handling and interpreting non-VA provider complaints and problems to improve the overall experience with query-based health information exchange. Non-VA providers (partners) are external healthcare organizations/providers who seek to participate in query-based health information exchange of Veteran health data over the VA/DoD joint HIE System by leveraging health information exchange networks such as eHealth Exchange, CommonWell Health Alliance, Carequality, and any other vehicles VA utilizes to electronically exchange health information.
Program Overview:
VHIE products are used by healthcare providers to seamlessly and securely access the information they need to coordinate Veteran Patient care. Electronic health information exchanges (HIEs) connect health care providers, care facilities, pharmacies, and labs to ensure care teams have the most up-to-date and accurate information to better treat patients. VHIE’s secure exchange system eliminates the need to mail paper medical records or carry your paper records to appointments with federal health care providers and/or participating external providers. VHIE’s Exchange Partner Management team supports external, non-VA providers, giving healthcare to our Veterans and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide project and program management support to the VHIE EPM Program Manager and EPM Workstream Lead
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to include all tasks and dependencies
- Identify, track, and manage risks and issues
- Support the development of project status briefings, both recurring and ad hoc, for all levels of the program (staff, councils, and senior leaders) as required
- Assist in Annual Workplan, Objective and Key Results (OKRs), Project Charters, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Strategic Plans, and other ad hoc data calls for assigned work teams and initiatives
- Facilitate reviews, capture feedback, and provide inputs to various project developments and adjudications
- Develop relationships and work collaboratively with other VHIE work areas/stakeholders
- Collaborate and participate in meetings with other VHIE section members
- Work with other VHIE sections to recommend and implement improvements to processes related to partner query-based exchange, including relevant user acceptance testing as needed
- Provide regular status reporting to include current state, risks, and issues, and proposed response plans
- Produce partner metrics, presentations, or other analyses as needed
- Ensure deliverables are maintained and delivered with completeness and accuracy, per the deliverable calendar and quality standards
- General client relationship management and client account management activities (e.g., organizing training sessions, facilitating meetings, documenting detailed meeting minutes promptly, and monitoring action items through resolution, SOP development, etc.).
- Manage technical initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, including:
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot electronic health record issues
- Provide functional analytic support with the knowledge and expertise to identify, document, and manage functional and technical requirements associated with VHIE products and new initiatives
