<h2></h2><h2>Job Description:</h2><p></p><p>We are seeking a <b>Senior Systems Analyst</b> to work with our Risk Workstation (RWS) technology team to design and drive the implementation of high-quality applications servicing the financial industry. Our team uses a variety of technologies that either use your current skills or build a platform for continuing to grow by learning new technologies.</p><p></p><p><span>The Expertise We’re Looking For</span></p><ul><li>Must have hands-on Experience in a Senior System Analysis role</li><li>Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (software development / computer science preferred) required</li><li>6 + years of experience working with cross-functional teams developing business and systems requirements, user interface design, data modeling, systems designs and systems interface specifications.</li><li>Strong exposure to Application design &amp; development across the following:<ul><li>Relational Database (ideally Oracle)</li><li>REST API &amp; MicroServices development</li><li>UI technologies &amp; frameworks</li><li>Cloud infrastructure (AWS in particular would be a plus)</li></ul></li><li>Experience with build, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, etc.)</li><li>Experience of Agile development practices and the value they bring to development teams</li><li>Proven ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders</li><li>Financial services experience preferred, ideally in Capital Markets and / or Risk.</li></ul><p></p><p><span>The Skills You Bring</span></p><ul><li>Ability to understand technical concept/problems and clearly translate in laymen’s terms when communicating with customers</li><li>Strong documentation skills - ability to capture/articulate and accurately document key points, process flows and identify work issues, etc.</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills. Must have the ability to multi-task and to handle assignment to multiple medium to large projects with shifting priorities and firm deadlines.</li><li>You are capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building high-performing teams</li><li>You are intellectually curious and model a culture of learning and coaching</li><li>You ensure the end-to-end delivery of requirements or user stories meets the needs and expectations of our business partners</li><li>You take a data-driven approach to understanding client needs, you translate strategic goals into action, and prioritize to maximize value delivered</li><li>Ability to data-mine and troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions.</li><li>A track record of mentoring junior team members</li></ul><p></p><p><span>The Value You Deliver</span></p><ul><li>Analysis support and small development on platforms dedicated to large scale IT transformational projects</li><li>Working closely with clients, business analysts and software engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications</li><li>Preparing detailed requirements documentation and specifications including use cases, context diagrams, business process flows, etc.</li><li>Assessing and researching current implementations of the platform and determining the course of action required to elevate the platform to meet customer needs.</li><li>Acquiring and constantly increasing your industry knowledge and subject matter expertise; understanding competitive positioning in the marketplace as well as industry initiatives and vendor solutions.</li><li>Taking the business requirements coupled with existing architecture to set a technical vision for features and major components and clearly articulating the evolutionary steps to achieve it</li><li>Working with Operations to plan major infrastructure upgrades, to troubleshoot issues and to tune the environment for optimal performance and uptime.</li><li>Collaborating with peers and management on process improvement ideas, policy and procedure enhancements, and opportunities to improve our customer's service experience.</li><li>Participating in code review and unit testing and providing support on issues in non-prod or production</li><li>Sharing your knowledge across the team.</li></ul><p></p><p><span>How Your Work Impacts the Organization</span></p><p>The position aligns to the Capital Markets division of FI Tech – Fidelity Institutional Technology.
