Job Summary:
Provide engineering services to safely meet the Lancaster Mill business plan by providing engineering support to production, maintenance and administrative departments to achieve plant goals.
In this role, you will:- Coordinate all phases of assigned projects from concept, scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations and related bid meetings, equipment and facilities engineering/design, manufacturing and installation through final start-up, acceptance and project close-out.
- Assist production, technical and maintenance with various types of equipment and process issues from an engineering perspective, particularly in the incumbent's specialized technical field of expertise.
- The incumbent will take a leadership role in promoting and practicing Arconic Business System concepts and philosophies within his/her span of control and responsibility.
- The incumbent recognizes that accident and injury prevention are equal in importance to production, quality, delivery, recovery and cost control. The incumbent accepts the responsibility to work safely and promote safety consciousness among other employees.
- The incumbent shall take such steps to assure that all employment practices under his or her control, including hiring, promotions, demotions, and discipline are conducted so as to comply with equal employment opportunity laws and Alcoa company policy.
- The incumbent shall participate in the annual development of the plant's three year budget process through scope development, solicitation for quotes and generation of the related project description and budget cost.
- The incumbent shall develop a core cross-functional project team, generate detailed project specifications & Scope of Work in order to solicit all project cost estimates, generate detailed project progress schedule, prepare and submit for approval funding request (RFA).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering
