About the role

The Role:  

Morningstar's Sales Enablement team seeks an experienced Instructional Designer to partner with our Sales Enablement Program Managers in creating scalable, impactful, digital training programs. These programs will serve internal audiences within our Sales, Customer Success, and Support organizations, with a focus on onboarding, product launches, industry insights, and operational excellence. Leveraging your expertise in instructional design methodologies and modern eLearning tools, you'll significantly contribute to reshaping and elevating our internal training strategy. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate closely with Sales Enablement Program Managers and key stakeholders to analyze, design, develop, and implement innovative digital training solutions. 
  • Utilize Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, EasyGenerator, and similar authoring tools to create engaging, interactive eLearning content. 
  • Publish and manage training content within our LMS (Cornerstone), ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with business objectives. 
  • Conduct needs assessments and partner with subject matter experts to translate complex concepts into clear, effective training modules. 
  • Strategically partner with business units and stakeholders to ensure enablement needs are met.  Define success metrics for enablement initiatives for impact and outcomes, analyze engagement, adoption and impact of enablement content and training, leverage data to refine strategies and improve effectiveness. 
  • Drive continuous improvement through evaluation of training effectiveness, collecting user feedback, and updating materials accordingly. 
  • Support initiatives related to onboarding programs, product go-to-market rollouts, industry-specific knowledge, and internal operational procedures. 
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Instructional Design, Education, Learning and Development, Communications, or other related field. 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, preferably within sales enablement, financial services, or SaaS environments. 
  • Proven expertise using instructional design models and adult learning principles. 
  • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, EasyGenerator, and experience managing content within LMS platforms (Cornerstone preferred). 
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams effectively. 
  • Strong discovery skills and ability to translate complex concepts into easily understood training at the appropriate level for a variety of audiences. 
  • Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience with multimedia production (audio, video editing, graphic design), etc.
