JOB SUMMARY: Active supervision of students in the school-based child care program under the guidance of a qualified leader, assistant director or director. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. Follows and enforces all Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements.

Works directly and actively supervises and engages with students during times they are present in the program.

Maintains safe conditions for all students and staff.

Exhibits excellent communication with parents, students, school staff, district staff and co-workers.

Promotes and markets the program for before and after care and full days.

Attend and participate in professional development trainings as required by licensing and district.

7.

Assists to create and implement quality lesson plans for every day the program is in operation.

Assists with maintenance, proper storage, and repair of equipment and supplies.

Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, projects and program quality.

Creates and implements activities and field trips for full day programming.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.

  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire
  • Program aides must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
  • Program aides must work directly under the supervision of the program director, assistant director or program leaders and must never be left alone with children unless otherwis
