Candidate MUST:

Primary Responsibilities:
- Write, edit, proofread, and provide writing support on non-technical and/or technical documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures and specifications.
- Provide a deep understanding of General Program and IT Service Operations policy documentation types and requirements.
- Ensure documents meet editorial and government specifications by adhering to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style.
- Create content for knowledge base, evaluate knowledge management initiatives, and circulate relevant articles as needed to appropriate stakeholders.
- Manage documentation projects to ensure deliverables are completed on-time to a high degree of quality.
- Provide recommendations, content and document review for Agency policy creation.
- Mentor, train and develop junior staff through structured and informal technical writing training.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and ten (10) years of general experience. With a Master’s degree, eight (8) years of general experience is acceptable. 4 years of additional experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience working directly with customers to discuss their requirements and objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, especially when presenting to the client and/or teammates.
- Working knowledge of the following software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong computer software skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new software/enterprise tools.
- Adept at using document production and review tools and software to perform the job.
