Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to make a significant impact by working directly with cross functional business leaders? Miller Electric is seeking a highly motivated Accountant who can drive results by accurately preparing, interpreting, and collaborating with business leaders all financial information within the Power Systems division.

As an active member of our accounting team, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records while supporting the culture, procedures, and internal controls. Your exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with others will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

What You’ll Do and Impact:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing process effectively and efficiently.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, maintain, and reconcile ledger accounts.
• Inventory management including participation in cycle counting program.
• Provide various sales and inventory analysis reports as needed to help support the division and provide timely data for other managers to assist with decision-making.
• Assist in capital expenditure requests, audits, and manage fixed assets within the division.
• Helps other employees understand how their choices and decisions will impact the financials and identifies, communicates, and trains others on key business drivers.
• Applying sound judgment to analyze processes, identifying, and acting upon opportunities to reduce complexity and simplify processes.
• Preform related work as apparent or assigned.

• Data Analysis - Be analytical, inquisitive, and crisp in explaining the story behind the numbers and a strong ability to understand macro and micro trends and quickly discern inaccuracies.
• Attention to Detail - Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills, with acute attention to detail.
• Self-Starter: Ability to learn quickly, work independently with minimal supervision, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Cross Functional Communication - Proven track record of leadership, collaboration, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to establish productive relationships and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
• 3+ years of broad accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with ERP and Financial Reporting software, Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations expertise.
• CPA or equivalent designation.
