What You Will Do:
The Program Initiatives Sr. Consultant shall be responsible for the research, analysis, development, maintenance, and delivery in support of a wide range of ad hoc initiatives, as determined by the Government. In addition to supporting the areas outlined in the Technology Support Task Requirements and Professional Development & Support Task Requirements, the Program Initiatives Sr. Consultant will also provide support for initiatives not outlined that could be the result of organizational changes, leadership direction, the evolution of new requirements, projects, and/or programs, etc. and are therefore not specific to a certain area of expertise or skillset.
The Program Initiatives Sr. Consultant shall continue to support the initiatives as outlined above, as well as provide support that includes, but is not limited to, other areas such as:
- Independently analyze program requirements and information from multiple sources, use judgement and discretion where information and/or data conflicts to develop and implement actionable solutions in support of program requirements
- Develop and refine business, functional, non-functional, performance, and or system requirements, Product Backlog Items (PBIs), and/or acceptance criteria as requested
- Research federal and private programs for assigned areas, research governing policies and regulations, develops compliant policies, documentation, and/or programs in response to management initiatives
- Independently develop technical documents and program materials that are clear, logical, and succinct. Some examples include writing new or enhancing existing documentation, briefings, white papers, presentations, spreadsheets, work instructions, manuals, how to guides, quick tips, and reports for a range of audiences
- Plan and conduct studies or reviews and special projects on assigned program operations and develop strategic and innovative methodologies to improve program operations and overall program execution
- Conduct process analysis to optimize organizational processes, improve productivity, streamline efficiencies, remove redundancies, reduce time spent on unnecessary steps, improve quality, and increase effectiveness. Document as is and to be processes to include word documents, briefings, process workflow diagrams, infographics, roles, and responsibilities matrices
- Conduct electronic file (e-File) compliance reviews, verifications, and validations of file naming conventions, file storage, folder structures, and document findings for course corrections
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 plus years professional work experience in federal, state or local government agencies gathering technology/business requirements for business enhancements
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to develop strategic and innovative methodologies to improve program operations and overall program execution
- Ability to develop and implement actionable solutions in support of program requirements
- Ability to communicate complex technical problems to a non-technical audience.
- Due to nature of client engagement, US Citizenship restrictions apply
- Ability to qualify and be awarded a Public Trust
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Federal consulting experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
