Job Description
Visa is seeking a versatile financial professional to join the team as the Director, M&A Finance Integration. This individual will be a key member of the M&A Finance Integration Program Management Office contributing to the end-to-end M&A integration lifecycle, beginning with Finance operational due diligence and ending with integration into Visa’s mainstream systems and processes. The finance integration workstreams include quote to cash (revenue operation, contract review, billing), procure to pay (Sourcing, AP), expense reimbursement, tax, record to report (FP&A, accounting) processes. In addition, the Director will be leading in internal M&A initiatives to strengthen the M&A practice such as supporting the creation of the M&A finance playbooks & standardize templates.
The ideal candidate is a results-oriented team member with broad accounting/finance/business operation knowledge, project management, effective communication skills, and experience leading across internal finance and cross functional leaders and acquired company leadership to drive shared objectives and detailed plans to achieve the desired business outcomes. Prior experience in Finance M&A Integration is preferred.
Essential Functions
- Provide leadership role in developing, managing, and executing detailed project plans that consider all requirements, constraints, resources, and deliverables associated with the defined objectives from inception to completion on time and with quality
- Influence and work cross-functionally to align functional plans, identifying, and actively managing risks and issues to resolution to ensure successful integration
- Facilitate discussions across finance and cross-functional workstreams to clarify interdependencies, “connect the dots”, and handle critical deliverables/timeline
- Manage the process by defining clear assignments, developing common formats for outputs, establishing focused timelines, and coordinating meeting schedules, meeting formats, communication mechanisms, and review processes
- Continuously apply a Finance lens across the M&A finance process to identify and execute optimization opportunities to improve the practice
- Assist in defining and maturing M&A Finance integration processes
- Deliver progress updates & escalate roadblocks to stakeholders and leadership
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
• Experienced leader – versed in succeeding in a matrixed organization
• Leading diverse, high performing matrixed teams
• Strong program/project management skills & strong facilitation skills
• Ability to challenge the status quo and develop mindshare to drive towards a common goal
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member
• Excellent verbal, written, oral communication and presentation skills, including the ability to synthesize information that can be easily consumed by various executive audiences
• Capable of working through ambiguity
• Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Possess organizational, creative problem-solving skills, and time management skills to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
