Job Description

IBM iSeries Financial Systems Support

Multi-Version Financial Software Maintenance

• Provide comprehensive support for three release levels (670, 660, 650) across core financial modules:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Cash Management (CM)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)

Tax Compliance & Updates

• Research and implement 1099 tax code changes across all three release levels
• Create and distribute Program Temporary Fixes (PTFs) for each release
• Provide customer notification and implementation assistance

iSuite Financial Systems Development (Web/SQL Environment)

Financial Module Support

• Maintain and enhance financial software modules:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Cash Management (CM)
  • Materials Management (MM)

Database & Integration Management

• Develop and implement database corrections
• Support custom interfaces for data flow into/out of GL, AP, and MM systems
• Provide technical assistance to customers on SQL-related issues
• Migrate data for customers transitioning from IBM iSeries to SQL Server

Release Management & Customer Support

• Complete software development lifecycle: coding, testing, release notes creation, packaging, and deployment
• Research and apply 1099 tax code changes with release repair creation
• Assist customers with establishing new test environments
• Provide technical training to customer IT teams on financial applications

Infrastructure Management

• Stay current with SQL Server and Window Server release through:
  • Coordinating new environment provisioning and setup with IT
  • Managing application deployments on new platforms/releases
  • Conducting thorough application testing and validation

Qualifications

Technical Skills

IBM iSeries Platform: System Administration & Operations

• iSeries functionality including administration, user profiles, job descriptions
• System operations: SAVLIB, RSTLIB, system commands, print file management
• Database management using DB2, SQL, DBU, and data manipulation commands
• Programming languages: RPG, SQLRPG, CL, DDS and CMD
• Advanced features: OPNQRYF, IBM I Access

iSuite (Web/SQL Environment)

1. Database & Server Management
   • SQL Server administration including setup, security configuration, and maintenance
   • Database architecture: tables, views, stored procedures, linked servers
   • Backup and restore operations, custom functions, user-defined data types
   • SQL data manipulation using Management Studio and scripting
2. Web Development & Deployment
   • Internet Information Services (IIS) administration and configuration
   • Web application deployment and Windows default settings optimization
   • Customer site troubleshooting and technical support
   • Programming in Visual Basic, JavaScript, and HTML
   • Active Reports development and implementation
3. Development Tools & Processes
   • Version control using GIT source storage
   • Application packaging with DigiCert
   • File Transfer Protocol (FTP) operations
