Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Business Analyst Intern will be a member of the DCE Technical Delivery team and work on custom developed software applications under the guidance of the Technical Delivery Team Lead. This role will provide training and enhance the intern’s knowledge of best practices around soliciting and documenting techno-functional requirements and Software Delivery Life-cycle  within an Enterprise environment.  

 

This internship will run from May 2024 – August 2024. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering enhancements to existing software applications.
• Learn to use Azure Dep Ops.
• Attend interviews with the business stakeholders to gather and document requirements, business process descriptions, use cases, and scenarios.
• Assist with data analysis and review business processes with stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Translate the business requirements and rules into source to target data mappings.
• Compose and maintain business requirements and functional design documents.
• Review defined physical data models, solution design documents for consistency and traceability to requirements.
• Assist with functional testing cycles. Support user acceptance testing and manage end to end issue resolution cycle.

• This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.

 

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Information Systems or Business Administration. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Introductory experience with creating prototypes and process diagrams preferred.
• Exposure to and expertise with cloud technology platforms and mobile apps preferred.
• Understanding and experience with soliciting and writing functional and technical requirements would be a huge plus.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
