Description

Job Summary:

The Family Conservancy is seeking a Internship Program Manager to lead the continued development and oversight of the Outpatient Clinical Internship Programs at our Wyandotte and Jackson County offices. The Internship Program Manager will provide student advice and coordination with academic institutions. The Internship Program Manager will work independently and in coordination and collaboration with the department director, clinical program managers, and staff to bring meaningful academically based internship experiences to clinical students.


Position Location and Department:

  • This position is part of our Clinical Department.
  • This position will work at our Wyandotte office at 434 Minnesota Ave, Kansas City, KS 66101.

Salary Range: $61,000 - $78,000

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the internship program, analyzing effectiveness, and deciding on program components.
  • Cultivate and manage internships and relationships with partner organizations, the KC metro community, and university liaisons.
  • Track and monitor student internship applications and security/background clearances.
  • Advise students on a range of experiential learning components of the program, including but not limited to internship preparation and placement process, internship goals and outcomes, career plans and professional development, academic program policies, etc., to assist students in making appropriate choices and decisions.
  • Critically analyze student and program concerns to resolve issues.
  • Develop and implement career and professional development programming and make strategic recommendations for future programs.
  • Analyze and develop report requirements, portals, and student communications.
  • Independently implement, administer, and evaluate the program's day-to-day activities by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the program's goals.
  • Collect and analyze data; create reports; review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the program's goals.
  • Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise, and implement procedures for the program.
  • Represent the program as the department's key contact and subject matter expert.
  • Commit resources and provide information and/or training. May also represent the program to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
  • Organize and/or participate in outreach activities, including developing communications and training and planning/promoting events and/or conferences.
  • May participate in the development of budgets and monitor and approve expenditures. May perform limited forecasting and provide recommendations that determine the budget.
  • May direct staff to perform various tasks and assignments. May also supervise staff.
