We're a tight-knit design team, with a focus on individual responsibility and rapid development, and looking for a Lead Product Designer for our Growth Pillar.
The ideal candidate is an expert designer, strategic problem solver, and strong collaborator who has driven large initiatives that impact millions of people. As the Lead Designer, you have a passion for elevating design and enjoy solving complex problems within the Growth & Revenue space. You enjoy building partnerships with cross functional team members and mentoring junior designers by providing guidance and support. This is a hybrid role and requires in-office partnership three times per week. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA.

In this role you will:
- Work in partnership with the Growth & Revenue Design Manager to establish design strategy, roadmap, guidelines, and processes for the Growth Pillar.
- Own the vision for key Growth & Revenue features to drive impact and shape the roadmap for future initiatives.
- Take ownership of large strategic projects, interacting directly with Engineering and Product team members.
- Conduct brainstorming sessions to develop solutions for key user problems.
- Lead the design on engaging new features (e.g. upsells, paywalls, offers, subscriptions, onboarding, week 1 experiences).
- Craft wireframes, flowcharts, visual mock-ups, and prototypes at industry leading levels.
- Test concepts with users, and refine based on your findings.
- Synthesize data in order to make knowledgeable design decisions.
- Iterate on designs, based on feedback from team members, partners and users.
- Communicate works-in-progress via project management tools JIRA and Monday.com.
- Stay up-to-date with mobile app design trends, patterns, new capabilities, etc., and use this knowledge to push the design forward.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a creative, encouraging, and positive culture.
About you:
- 7+ years professional experience, with 2+ in mobile design.
- Experience leading large scale projects, particularly within the Growth & Revenue space.
- Experience designing on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Desktop, etc.).
- Experience in product design, UI design, and/or UX design.
- Experience leading / mentoring junior designers on the team.
- A strong portfolio of product design, showing an excellent sense of typography, layout, and general design principles.
- First-hand experience with current design tools (Figma, Sketch, Framer, Principle, etc.), and eagerness to learn new ones.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Self starter attitude with excitement to work in a fast paced, low ego environment.
Bonus Points:
- Experience designing for growth and revenue features for a large scale user base.
- Experience conducting exploratory user research and usability testing.
- Experience with agile teams and methodologies.
- Prototyping experience, with tools such as Framer, Principle, Flinto, InVision, etc..
- Experience with quantitative data and/or surveys, and refining work based on findings.
- A future-forward perspective, informed by a fascination with technology and culture.
- A broad interest in design history (product, graphic, industrial, architectural).
