Job Description
Join the People Solutions team as Director, Business & People Partner (BPP), providing strategic partnership to the HDD Operations leader and team. In this role, you will lead a high performing team of BPPs to drive strategic initiatives that result in business value and impact. You will also partner with the business to define a world class people strategy and plans that deliver sustained impact in attracting, engaging and developing our workforce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Partnership with Business to deliver a coherent, game changing talent strategy
- Pro-actively own the strategic functional-level people agenda for the organization, and engage as a trusted advisor and strategic consultant to the senior leader for mid to long term planning
- Partner with senior leaders to advance annual business strategies through a multi-faceted people strategy and plans including workforce planning, succession planning, M&A etc.
- Diagnose organizational design and effectiveness gaps and implement associated actions to mitigate risks
Drive and execute on key global talent and people solutions priorities
- Execute the phases of WD’s integrated talent management process; own and drive expected outcomes
- Execute on our key rewards, engagement and retention programs
- Drive key talent metrics focus, reporting impact/gaps and mitigating actions
- Act as steward of the People Solutions model
- In partnership with ER, ensure a healthy org to mitigate any compliance/management risks
Act as a Culture Champion and Leadership Coach
- Champions WD values and knows how to integrate this into every aspect of talent initiatives.
- Assess, develop, and coach executives and senior leadership teams to drive high performance and potential.
- Mastery in change management initiatives with a focus on culture, leadership capabilities, and engagement
- Analyze external and internal trends and conduct regular, inclusive listening sessions to develop data-driven insights to drive optimal employee engagement and experience.
- Amplify and extend DE&I into everything you do, in alignment with enterprise focus
- Act as an early warning signal for executives and the People Solutions leadership team. Respond as needed to global or local crises affecting WD employees

- Proven capability to inspire and develop a strong, high-performing business & people partner team
- Raises the bar and drives clarity on vision, goals and key metrics to deliver high performance
- Connects the dots across multiple teams and works collaboratively to optimize and balance enterprise/function objectives.
- Drives effective prioritization to work within budgets and available resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with Master's degree or relevant certification preferred
- 10-12 years of experience in Human Resources or People Organization; people leadership experience preferred
- Demonstrates an inclusive lead
