Post-Transplant Coordinator - Infusion Nurse
Inova Health System’s Fairfax Hospital is looking for a Post-Transplant Coordinator - Infusion Nurse to join our team supporting Abdominal Transplants. This role is full-time, M-F, 8:30am-4:30pm (No weekends, on-call responsibilities are 2-3 days and 2-3 nights per month & 1 weekend every 3 months).
This individual will help bridge gap of resources/relocating patient for infusions post-transplant, within the Transplant department. Responsibilities:
The Post-Transplant Coordinator - Infusion Nurse performs assessments of patient needs and coordinates multidisciplinary care. Educates patient, family and care providers. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice. Organizes and submits data to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with others. Demonstrates respect and understanding of other clinical disciplines and uses an integrated approach to achieve desired patient outcomes. Requirements:
- Education: BSN
- Experience: 3 years as a RN; experience with infusion in an inpatient/acute care/med-surg setting preferred
- Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association; ACLS preferred – if not upon hire, must obtain within training period
- Licensure: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
