Automation Specialist - PLC & Software

The position of Automation Specialist for PLC and Software will be based out of our Rochester, NY location!

 

For the state of New York only only, the pay range is $70K to $85K plus commission, depending upon qualifications, experience and other considerations permitted by law. 

 

Summary
The Automation Specialist position is responsible for growing sales of specialized products to all customers, with the objective to increase profitable sales through creating, building, and maintaining high quality customer and vendor relationships.

What You'll Do

• Demonstrates commercial and technical acumen related to assigned technology segment(s). Subject Matter Expert of assigned technology segment(s).
• Leads and supports sales efforts with key targets, key customers and key opportunities in area/region 
• Identifies customer needs, proposes solutions and closes orders 
• Presents proposals to all levels of leadership and technical audiences 
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with key suppliers 
• Participates in product meetings, seminars and training schools to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge 
• Assist branches and customer with product, technical support and training 
• May analyze market potential, develop an annual business plan based on market conditions and lead execution with local technical, sales and management team 
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Min 4+ years’ experience 
• 10+ years' experience preferred
• Product and application knowledge required (Rockwell Automation products CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Studio 5000 required, SLC and RSLogix preferred)
• TUV Certification preferred
• Sales Experience preferred
