Job Summary:

"Medical Biller ensures medical claims are correctly billed and paid in the most efficient manner, following department policies and procedures.

Job description:

This position is responsible for all phases of the billing and collection process for patients to assure clean claims and billing to obtain accurate reimbursement for healthcare claims.

Duties required :

The position involves detailed research and follow-up on medical insurance claims and the careful preparation of appeals and responses to efficiently interact with insurance carriers and resolve the claim. Also responsible for collecting on secondary claims and co-payments from patients. Ensures high data integrity and patient record completeness. Performs various other tasks relating to Revenue Cycle Management functions, and provides effective communication regarding billing/collection issues with patients and various parties within and outside the company. Performs other related duties as assigned."
