Pay: $24-$26/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (occasional weekends and holidays depending on need)

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining CSI's facilities, grounds, equipment, and vehicles—keeping our spaces safe, functional, and in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards. Your responsibilities will include routine maintenance and repairs, overseeing our vehicle fleet, grounds upkeep, and supporting risk management and safety functions across the organization.

In short, our Maintenance Technician will help ensure CSI's physical environment is one that promotes safety, comfort, and dignity for all who walk through our doors.

Essential Duties

Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements to facilities and new construction as needed, prioritizing based on safety, health, licensing, accreditation, and budget factors
Oversee and/or perform vendor work including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC systems
Oversee the agency's vehicle fleet, including safety checks and maintenance scheduling
Oversee and perform grounds maintenance as needed
Partner with the Executive Administrative Assistant/Facilities Supervisor on safety functions and deadlines
Work with volunteers on maintenance or grounds projects
Notify supervisor or management of needs for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilation equipment
Assist with major projects, such as moving, as assigned
Organize and maintain the Engineer's Room on a routine basis

Qualifications
Do you think you'd be a good fit for this role? Ideally, you are:

High school diploma with advanced technical training or experience required
Minimum of 3 years maintenance experience
Knowledgeable in plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems
Skilled in carpentry
Able to read, understand, and apply technical manuals, instructions, laws, and licensing/accreditation standards
Comfortable handling confidential information
Able to interact with clients and personnel with sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic differences
Proficient with email and Microsoft Word

Vehicle Requirements

Own transportation meeting agency vehicle inspection requirements
Valid driver's license with no more than 3 points
Proof of insurance meeting agency requirements

Physical Requirements

Ability to climb ladders, work on roofs, and operate machinery (lawn mowers, drills, etc.)
Ability to access storage facilities, climb stairs, and access crawl spaces
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands/tools with close and peripheral vision
Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
